The West Monroe Police Department received two awards recently from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.

On Tuesday, March 9, members of the West Monroe Police Department traveled to the second annual Louisiana Highway Safety Commission DWI Enforcement Award Program Ceremony luncheon in Baton Rouge to receive two awards.

The West Monroe Police Department received the award for the 'Highest Number of Arrests for a Department Serving a Population of 10,000 to 25,000' and the 'Highest Number of Arrests for a Police Officer Serving a Population of 10,000 to 25,000.'
