Annual music conference seeks public support

Work is under way to bring artists to the parish for next year's South Central Regional Music Conference, an event that brings roughly $500,000 annually to Ouachita Parish.

The fifth annual South Central Regional Music Conference wrapped up in late February.

The event has been held locally at Monroe Civic Center for the past five years. The conference brings together musicians from around the world where they work with young, aspiring artists, and perform for the public.
