Moore focuses on 'Smart Growth' program

The Ouachita Parish Police Jury agreed Monday to apply for a grant that would fund a study to determine how eastern Ouachita Parish could improve some of its disadvantaged areas.

Action was taken during the police jury's regular meeting.

After a failed attempt to get the police jury to support a study to develop a comprehensive plan for police jury District D and District F, police juror Pat Moore brought up a similar measure before the police jury Monday, but this one was more appeasing to the other jurors.
