Grant funding sought to aid West 20/20 project The city of West Monroe is in the hunt for $200,000 in grant funding to advance the West 20/20 Visioning Project's efforts to develop a comprehensive plan for western Ouachita Parish's future.
West Monroe's Board of Aldermen approved two resolutions at its meeting last week to seek grants for the project.
West 20/20 committee chairman Paul Hargrove said the group needed a governmental agency to submit the grant requests. The city of West Monroe agreed to partner with the group to file them. For the full report, see Page 1A of this week's Citizen.
