Grant funding sought to aid West 20/20 project

The city of West Monroe is in the hunt for $200,000 in grant funding to advance the West 20/20 Visioning Project's efforts to develop a comprehensive plan for western Ouachita Parish's future.

West Monroe's Board of Aldermen approved two resolutions at its meeting last week to seek grants for the project.

West 20/20 committee chairman Paul Hargrove said the group needed a governmental agency to submit the grant requests. The city of West Monroe agreed to partner with the group to file them.
