Lady Bulldogs champs
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Carroll Lady Bulldogs captured their first state championship since 1993 on Saturday when they downed the Baker Lady Buffaloes, 70-48.

The LHSAA Class 3A title comes after the Lady Bulldogs lost in the Class 4A semi-finals last season. The six seniors on the Carroll team were focused on not letting that repeat this season.

Twin sisters Elexar Tuglar and Alexar Tuglar ended their Carroll careers in style. Elexar Tuglar garnered Most Valuable Player honors after scoring 29 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out four assists. Alexar Tuglar scored 22 points with 10 rebounds and five steals against Baker.
