Junior Miss contest this weekend
Eleven Junior girls from Ouachita Parish will have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Diane Sawyer (America's Junior Miss 1963) and Deborah Norville (Georgia's Junior Miss 1976) when they compete for the title of Ouachita's Junior Miss.
Sponsored by the Pilot Club of the Twin Cities, Ouachita's Junior Miss scholarship program will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Neville High School Auditorium.
The winner will go on to compete in the Louisiana Junior Miss Program, an official preliminary of the America's Junior Miss Scholarship program.
Featured entertainer will be Ouachita's Junior Miss and Louisiana's Junior Miss 2010, Katie von Diezelski.
A senior at West Monroe High School, Katie will represent Louisiana at America's Junior Miss in Mobile, Ala. in June.
Both mayors of Monroe and West Monroe as well as the Ouachita Parish Police Jury have declared the week of March 7th through March 13th as Ouachita Parish Junior Miss Week in the Twin Cities.
