Neville trips in second round An incredible basketball season ended in by one tough night at the office for the Neville Tigers, with an 84-73 loss at No. 2 Bossier High School on Tuesday.
Bossier (36-1) looked every bit the part of a state champion contender as four guards scored in double-figures and the Bearkats played relentless defense. Devonte Francis scored 23 points to lead the charge. Joseph James scored 20 points while Jalan West (13) and Centravious Jackson (10) added to the onslaught.
Neville (27-11) held its own on the boards with the Bearkats and was even better than advertised in the backcourt on Tuesday. Delarious Jones led Neville with 29 points, his most since scoring 31 points at Wossman two weeks ago. For the full report, see Page 1B of this week's Citizen.
