The Ouachita Parish Police Jury didn't act on a proposed $50,000 study for a comprehensive plan for the police jury's two minority districts following some heated discussion that prompted one police juror to leave the meeting before it concluded.

Police juror Pat Moore first introduced a proposal to spend $50,000 on comprehensive study of police jury District D and District F. She offered the proposal at police jury meeting last month.

At Monday's police jury meeting, Moore, who was visibly frustrated by some of the discussion, called for the proposal to be removed from the police jury's agenda. She then left the meeting, citing an illness.
