Church hosts River Rats The River Rats, a Branson-style show of family-friendly music and comedy will be at 7 p.m. Friday, March 5 at Lea Joyner Church on Old Sterlington Road behind St. Francis-North.
This is the "farewell on the road tour." Tickets are $10 each and are available at the door. They are also available at the church by calling 343-0073.
An old-fashioned meet and greet chili supper will be held before the show from 5:30-7 p.m. Attendees can meet the band and get autographs.
According to show promoters: "Don 'Brickshy' Jones renders or executes songs such as 'Four Leaf Clover', 'Just Because', 'Tree Top Tall', all the while dishing out spurts of rib splitting humor. What else can a born clown do? Don Mellon belts out some of your favorites such as 'Corrina, Corrnina', 'Take me back to Tulsa', 'Jambalaya', 'Rose of San Antone', and other Western swing songs. You will get a chance to hear the close harmony of all of the other "RATS" also."
