Sterlington set to face Riverside
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Sterlington Panthers (22-13) downed the Lake Providence Panthers, 49-48, on a pair of last-second free throws by Kalen Goldsby. Goldsby and Matt Allred each scored 16 points to lead Sterlington to their first playoff appearance in five years.

Third-year head coach Kevin Caballero is making his first trip to the postseason at Sterlington.

"Kalen (Goldsby) drove to the basket and got the call to go to the line," Caballero said. "The kids are just so excited to be able to go to the playoffs. As a coaching staff we thought it would happen next year but the guys worked extremely hard and made it happen."
