Today we read about all kinds of "...ists."  Some of these are:

Fatalists — They consider everything that happens to be determined by fate, and are therefore, inevitable.

Alarmists — They habitually spread alarming rumors and exaggerated reports of danger.  They expect the worst ... and are easily frightened.
