Eagles wait, watch The Ouachita Christian School Eagles wrapped up their regular season with a 58-51 loss to the Oak Grove Tigers last week and now must wait and see if they can get some help to make the playoffs.
OCS (9-19) finished third in district 2-1A, considered to be one of the weakest districts in Class 1A basketball this season. OCS is currently No. 39 in the latest power ranking released by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association. The top 32 teams in the final poll, released this Monday, Feb. 22 will qualify for the Class 1A playoffs.
OCS has a power ranking of 6.54 and Montgomery High School currently holds the last playoff spot with a power point total of 7.58. For the full report, see Page 4B of this week's Citizen.
