Funeral services for Mrs. Olelia Morris Chapman, 85, was held Wednesday, Feb.10 t Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with officiating by Rev. Michael Howard, Rev. Kurt Auger and Rev. Ryan Chapman.
Interment followed at Rocky Branch Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe.
Audrey "Bib" Vivian Coleman
Funeral services for Audrey "Bib" Vivian Coleman, 80, of Monroe, was held Wednesday, Feb. 10 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. William Smith officiating.
Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Janice Marjorie George
Funeral services for Mrs. Janice Marjorie George, 79, of Lake Charles, formerly of West Monroe was held Wednesday, Feb. 10 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Braxton Humphries officiating.
Interment followed at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.
Emma Lou Phillips Haisty
Funeral services for Emma Haisty, 88, of West Monroe was held Thursday, Feb. 11 at Family Church in West Monroe.
Pastor Michael O'Neal and Pastor Michael Stravato officiated.
Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe.
Webster Odom "W.O." Hattaway
Funeral services for Webster Odom "W.O." Hattaway, 87, Calhoun, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, with Rev. Bob Witt and Rev. J.L Williams officiating. Interment was at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe. Visitation was held Wednesday evening.
Mr. Hattaway was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Calhoun, and passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2010, in Calhoun. A U.S. Army veteran and former POW in World War II, he served in the European Theater of Operations where he received numerous medals including the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, American Campaign Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and 3 Bronze Stars and the Combat Infantryman's Badge. Mr. Hattaway was a retired building inspector. He was preceded in death by his parents, Osie Gary and Martha Hattaway; a grandchild, Heather L. Hattaway; two brothers, Carl Hattaway and Oscar Hattaway; and wo sisters, Vera Spillers and Eva Golson.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Barnes Hattaway; three sons, Louis C. Hattaway and wife, Mary, Osie Glenn Hattaway and wife, Darra, and Randy P. Hattaway and wife, Ginger; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Christopher Rodney Hattaway, Shane Hattaway, Jesse Hattaway, Charles Hattaway, Wesley Hattaway, Oscar Roy Hattaway, Ronald Gene Hattaway and Kenny Wilhite.
