Run for Kids' Sake set for Feb. 27
The annual Run for Kids' Sake will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, in Kiroli Park.
It includes a 5K run/walk starting at 8 a.m. and 1-mile fun run starting at 9 a.m. Registration and sign-in start at 6:30 a.m. and awards will be presented at 10 a.m. The event is a fundraiser benefiting the hundreds of kids served by Big Brothers Big Sisters throughout northeastern Louisiana.
All the money raised stays in northeastern Louisiana to match children with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
Participants can get a registration form online www.wellspringalliance.org or by calling BBBS at 323-9034.
Sign up by Feb. 20 for the pre-registration price of $25.
After Feb. 20, the registration price will increase to $30. Teams will be scored on the amount of money raised. The top three teams will receive dinner for four.
Awards will be given to:
• Top overall male and female finishers.
• Top three male and female finishers in each age group.
• Top Big Brother and Big Sister finisher.
• Top Big Brothers and Big Sister fundraiser.
• Top three team fundraisers.
• Top five individual fund-raisers
