Story Archives: Thibodeaux signs with ULL

Thibodeaux signs with ULL
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Aaron Thibodeaux is used to making big plays on the football field. The St. Frederick High School defensive end has been playing football and making those types of plays since elementary school.
Thibodeaux recently made history when he signed a letter of intent to play for the University of Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns last Wednesday. Thibodeaux becomes the first Warrior player to sign a Football Bowl Subdivision scholarship in over 30 years.

"It has been an amazing year," Thibodeaux said. "It just shows that you do not have to go to a 4A or 5A school to get a Division-I scholarship. If you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything."

Thibodeaux first strapped on a pair of shoulder pads as a 10-year-old running back for the YMCA team in Monroe. He also spent time as a tight end for most of his seasons playing for the YMCA club.
