Reeves chooses Arkansas

One of the top baseball players in the area has made his college choice: Ouachita Christian School catcher John Clay Reeves committed to the University of Arkansas Razorbacks last week.

Reeves set the single season home-run record at OCS last season as a junior, blasting 16 home runs out of the park. Reeves also sported a .448 batting average and a .990 slugging percentage. For home run hitters, the slugging percentage is always an important statistic and Reeves excelled all season long.

Reeves was selected as a member of the 2009 All-Northeast Louisiana team as well as first team all-state and all-district as a sophomore. He was invited to the 2007 Under-Armour sophomore classic and again as a junior, making him a two-time All-American selection.
