Story Archives: Area prospects sign scholarships

Area prospects sign scholarships
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
One of the most anticipated days in all the year for local football fans came and went with lots of fanfare for some schools, but National Signing Day for football players passed quietly for many area schools.

Four Ouachita schools had football players sign college scholarships on Wednesday, the first day high school students could make their college choices official for NCAA football scholarships.

Neville was at the top of the list with six signees on Wednesday. Teammates, coaches, family and friends piled into the auditorium at Neville to watch as six seniors made their choices known.
Photos from area signings are featured on Page 1B of this week's Citizen. For the full report, see Page 2B.
