Sheriff's office to roll out new crime fighter
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office will unveil its newest crime fighter Saturday during the Krewe of Janus' Mardi Gras parade.

The new member of OPSO's team is a Freightliner tractor, which deputies seized last year following a traffic stop on Interstate 20.

Since cocaine was found in the cab of the Freightliner, OPSO took possession of it. The trailer the Freightliner was pulling at the time of the traffic stop was returned to its owner because no drugs were found in the trailer. It housed washers and dryers.
