In recognition of Go Red for Women and American Heart Month, St. Francis Medical Center will host a special educational opportunity for the public.

"Women and Heart Disease" will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at the St. Francis Conference Center, 418 Jackson St., Monroe. Feb. 5 is also National Wear Red Day, and attendants are encouraged to wear red shirts in support of the fight against heart disease.

The program will feature special presentations by Cardiologist Dr. Virginia Gonzalez and St. Francis Clinical Educator Katherine M. Roberts, RN, MSN, CCRN. A testimonial will be shared by Leona Bennett, a heart survivor.

A heart healthy lunch will be served and there is no cost for admission. Seating is limited. For reservations, call 966-7355.
