Lacy becoming star on local courts
As a small child growing up in West Monroe, Cory Lacy dreamed of one day playing professional basketball.
Like many young stars on the court in Ouachita Parish, Lacy started his playing days as a youngster in the front yard of his family home. He went on to be one of the leading scorers on his Riser Middle School team in West Monroe before moving on to West Monroe High School.
"I started playing with my cousins in the front yard when I was around 7," Lacy said. "I always told them I was going to be a basketball star."
