Richwood downs Caldwell; Madison up next The Richwood Rams will host the Madison Parish Jaguars on Friday night as part of a doubleheader which the Lady Rams start at 6 p.m.
Richwood is coming off a 56-42 victory at home against the Caldwell Parish Spartans on Tuesday. The game was hotly contested until Richwood used a 16-2 run over the first six minutes of the fourth quarter to take the district victory. The game began with a lot of back-and-forth action as neither team could put a big run together. LaDon Carter, who scored 16 points to lead Richwood, electrified the crowd with a two-handed jam just before the buzzer. The basket gave the Rams a 13-12 advantage going into the second quarter.
As Richwood continues to improve throughout the season, coaches are seeing the team mature right before their eyes. For the full report, see Page 4B of this week's Citizen.
