Sterlington set to host Lake Providence
by Cody Futrell - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
The Sterlington Panthers (20-9) will host the Lake Providence Panthers on Friday in another key district 2-2A contest beginning with the Lady Panther game at 6 p.m.

Matt Allred has led the charge for the Panthers. Allred has averaged 22 points per game the last two weeks and has carried his solid effort over into leading the team through the early part of the district schedule.

"He played real well to start the year," Sterlington head coach Kevin Caballero said of the freshman. "He has not played quite as well the last two games. I think the long schedule might be wearing on him a little bit."
