Norris to run for ninth term
West Monroe Mayor Dave Norris says there are several city projects he'd like to see completed over the next few years, which is why he'll seek re-election this spring for at least one more term in office.
Norris spoke with The Ouachita Citizen Wednesday about the upcoming mayor's race in West Monroe.
Qualifying for the March 27 municipal election will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, through Friday, Feb. 5.
"I'm going to run for one more term," said Norris, who was first elected mayor in 1978. He's currently serving his eighth, four-year term. For the full report, see Page 1A of this week's Citizen.
