Chiefs host Patriots in 4A battle
The West Ouachita Chiefs (14-7, 0-1) will try to bounce into the district 3-4A win column this Friday night when they host the Franklin Parish Patriots at 6 p.m.
West Ouachita is coming off a 66-53 loss to Neville on Tuesday. The contest saw the Chiefs outrebounded and unable to get baskets to fall with enough consistency to warrant a serious fourth-quarter run.
The Chiefs have been one of the surprise teams of the new year. Not a serious playoff contender in the past, the Chiefs are banking on veteran leadership and a great defensive presence to carry them into the postseason this year.
