Master plan vision narrows

The group tasked with developing priorities for a comprehensive plan for western Ouachita Parish's future has singled out a number of items in which to focus its attention.

The effort is part of the West 20/20 Community Vision project spearheaded by the West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, the city of West Monroe and Louisiana Economic Development Corp. Committee members involved with West 20/20 met Tuesday to review priorities and develop an action plan.

Kevin Crosby, chairman of the West Ouachita/West Monroe Chamber of Commerce, said the West 20/20 group wants to create a master plan that shows how much each priority project costs as well as the benefits it would have on the community and the timeframe it would take to complete each project.
