Morrison reports on KCS talks
Monroe engineer Sinyale Morrison believes last week's meeting with Kansas City Southern railway officials will go a long way in advancing several local projects.
Last week, Monroe Mayor Jamie Mayo and City Councilman Jay Marx traveled with Morrison to meet with KCS officials in Kansas City, Mo. The meeting was held to discuss several local projects with KCS chairman Mike Haverty.
Mayo and Marx were unavailable for comment this week. They traveled to Washington, D.C., for the Monroe Chamber of Commerce's annual lobbying trip, which coincides each year with Washington Mardi Gras.
