Memphis Catholic choir performs in West Monroe

The Voices of St. Augustine choir from St. Augustine Catholic Church in Memphis, Tenn., will perform at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe.

The choir is well-known throughout their city and region for their praise-filled music. The group includes 35 volunteer members from St. Augustine Catholic Church. Besides singing regularly at Mass at the parish, the choir has also performed at venues across the country.

The director of Voices of St. Augustine is Albert Langston Jr. The principal musician is Robert Claiborne. Under their direction, the choir provides music ranging in style from classical to contemporary gospel.

The public is invited to attend the 3 p.m. performance Saturday at St. Paschal Catholic Church, 711 North 7th St., West Monroe. The choir will also perform at the 5:30 p.m. Mass at St. Paschal and again at the 9 a.m. Mass on Sunday at Little Flower Catholic Church, 600 South 16th St., Monroe.
