Bulldogs, Rams rekindle district rivalry The Carroll Bulldogs (13-7, 1-0) will visit old rival Richwood to begin a new set of classic games on Friday night.
Carroll looks to take full control of district 1-3A with a victory over the defending Class 3A champion Rams. The Bulldogs sent shock waves through the state with a huge win over the previously undefeated Caldwell Spartans on Tuesday night, 59-53.
Xavier Lee led the way for the Bulldogs in scoring and assists. Lee also scored 20 points in a 68-52 win over Ruston at the Don Redden Classic held at Ouachita last weekend. Carroll went 2-2 in the event and suffered through losses to Wossman and LaGrange of Lake Charles. Against the LaGrange Gators, Carroll fell behind and could not get any offense going in the second half. For the full report, see Page 3B of this week's Citizen.
