OCS catcher gaining national attention

A budding star on the diamond at Ouachita Christian School is making an impact around the nation.

Junior John Clay Reeves had a successful trip to Tropicana Field in Tampa this past weekend where he competed in the 2010 International Power Showcase Home Run Derby.
The invitation-only event pits some of the best hitters in the world against each other in a home run derby. Its held at the same stadium that the major league Tampa Bay Rays play their home games.

"It was an amazing experience," Reeves said. "I did pretty well. We got to work out at the New York Yankees training facility and have Yankee coaches pitch to us. That was awesome."
