White, Hicks maintain leadership posts

The Ouachita Parish School Board selected Jack White and Jerry Hicks to serve as president and vice president for another year.

White will lead the school board again for the 2010-2011 school year after board members unanimously voted for White's appointment. The board tapped White for the post during its regular meeting Tuesday.

For White, this will mark the eighth consecutive year he will lead the parish school board. In all, White has served 14 years as school board president.
