AT&T brings 3G browsing to northeast Louisiana

AT&T officially launched its 3G (third generation) mobile broadband network for northeast Louisiana during a special event Monday at its West Monroe retail store.

The launch brings in a new era of mobile service, devices and special features for customers in the Monroe market, according to Ryan Mason, AT&T's retail sales director for western Louisiana.

He said the 3G network technology provides faster service to customers, allowing them to download data twice as fast as the previous technology.
