Carver, Arnold exchange vows in Monroe ceremony
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Emily Kaylyn Carver and Brent William Arnold exchanged wedding vows at 6 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 21, in Flowers Chapel at the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home in Monroe. The ceremony was officiated by the groom's uncle, Rev. Eddie Carpenter.

Parents of the couple are Gary and Sherry Carver of West Monroe, and Darrell and Kathy Arnold of Alexandria. Grandparents of the bride are Charles and Evie Martin of West Monroe and Dr. Belford and Joan Carver of Hammond. Grandparents of the groom are Jackie Arnold, and the late Guy Arnold of Alexandria and the late, Charles and Nell Bennett of Pineville. The parents and grandparents entered the chapel to the song "Mother's Prayer" by Celine Dion.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a champagne colored, floor-length gown which had a sculptured strapless bodice with dropped waistline and was elaborately adorned with embroidery and crystals, and featured a peaked empire, inset band. Inverted pleats surrounded the skirt with a wide hemline band onto the chapel length train. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, ribbon and baby's breath. Always desiring a fairytale wedding, the bride entered the chapel to the Disney song, "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes."
The groom's attire was a black, pin striped tuxedo by Ralph Lauren, with an ivory vest and black tie. He wore initialed cufflinks which were a gift from the bride.
