Louisiana High School Athletic Association All-State football squads abound with Ouachita Parish talent in 2009.

West Monroe placed three on the all-state team with offensive lineman Wayne Hendricks as well as defensive lineman Jordan Allen and linebacker Jonathan Tyson made the all-state team.

Hendricks was part of a offensive line that paved the way for the state's top offenses. West Monroe claimed their seventh state championship this year with a 30-0 win over Archbishop Rummel in the Louisiana Superdome.
