Vining among 8 LSHOF inductees

Former ULM basketball head coach Mike Vining has been chosen as one of eight new members to be enshrined as part of the 2010 Louisiana Sports Hall Of Fame inductees.
Vining is the winningest coach in ULM history as he reached the 400 win plateau in 2005 before retiring following that season.

He was one of only 29 active coaches at that time with at least 400 wins.

He took his first team to the NCAA tournament in 1982 when he led the then-Northeast Louisiana University to a Atlantic Sun Conference title.
