Amman joins Fourth District race
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Monroe City Court Judge Fred Amman will vie for the 4th Judicial District Court seat vacated by Judge Marcus Clark, who was elected earlier this year to the state Supreme Court.

Amman announced his candidacy this week. He will kick off his campaign for the 4th Judicial District Court on Jan. 14 at a reception in his honor at Carolyn and Harvey Perry's home. The special election to name Clark's successor is scheduled for March.

Amman and Clark opposed one another in 1996 for the 4th Judicial District Court seat Clark vacated for the Supreme Court post. Amman said he had not considered running for District Court judge again until supporters began calling him recently.
