NOVA graduates 15 students
Sandria Clark smiled Tuesday and shed tears of joy as she watched two of her daughters and a grand-daughter accept their graduation certificates from NOVA administrators.
Tuesday's graduation event was not the first time NOVA overwhelmed her with feelings of happiness and accomplishment. Not long ago, Clark also stood before her family and friends and accepted her NOVA graduation certificate.
Today, Clark is employed at Gardner Denver Thomas where she has earned more money in three months than she made all of last year.
That's what NOVA is all about, said director Paul West.
NOVA Workforce Institute of Northeast Louisiana is a non-profit organization that serves "to connect the needs of employers, with educational and training entities and local residents who are looking for a career path leading to a living wage job and benefits."
West told graduates Tuesday that their graduation in NOVA was the beginning of a new career path for them.
