Mayo looks to top 2009 achievements

While 2009 proved to be one of the most productive years in recent memory for the city of Monroe, Mayor Jamie Mayo looks forward to even brighter days in the New Year.

With several big economic development announcements under its belt in 2009, including V-Vehicle and the expansions at CenturyLink, Gardner Denver Thomas and Computer Programs and Systems, Mayo said the city established a foundation for more economic growth in the years to come.

Mayo also touted the construction of a new Monroe Regional Airport terminal and sound city finances as evidence of a great year for the city in 2009.
