Search begins for Chiefs head football coach

West Ouachita is now in the process of naming a new head football coach after Mitch Thomas stepped down to focus on the Chiefs baseball program next season.

Thomas has been the head coach of the Chiefs football team for five years and has taken the team to the playoffs twice. West Ouachita finished third in district 3-4A and had victories over Wossman and Franklin Parish this year.

Thomas will continue to be the head coach of the baseball team and serve as the team's athletic director.
