Diplomacy art of restraining power
 Sultry and soggy conditions coupled with wild swings in temperatures across the region could almost make a believer out of the most uncompromising on global warming this week.
But, that has long been one of the alarms over the madness of the climate change debate: are these but temporary fluctuations in short-term weather or more serious indicators of major shifts in the environment? There is no way that in this small space that I can address the assorted and sundry issues plaguing the calamitous debate on global warming, climate change, greenhouse gas emissions or whether Al Davis will ever hire a real General Manager. These issues are just too complex.
Still, there is one thing that can be still counted on in the realm of realpolitik: nation-states when pressured to change by other nation-states will avoid the unknown and act in their own national interest.
