Story Archives: Bill includes $2 million for port

Bill includes $2 million for port
by Scott Rogers - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Greater Ouachita Port will receive $2 million in federal money if President Obama signs off on an omnibus appropriations bill the U.S. Senate approved last week.

The port will receive $2 million for an additional rail spur at the port. The additional rail spur would improve the route of a rail line at the port to provide for safer and more efficient rail traffic.

U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu issued a news release late last week to announce federal funding for the port had been approved.
