Story Archives: School system recognizes 'Students of the Year'

School system recognizes 'Students of the Year'
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
One of the reasons Ouachita Parish Schools continues to rank as one of the top school systems in Louisiana is because of its students.

That's according to Superintendent Dr. Bob Webber, who on Tuesday joined hundreds of teachers, family members and school system officials to honor some of the top students in the parish. They gathered at West Monroe Convention Center for the event.

Each year the school system hosts a "Student of the Year" luncheon to recognize elementary, middle school and high school students of the year. One student from each school is selected as a student of the year.
