LSU to face Penn State in Capital One Bowl

The 13th-ranked LSU football team will usher in the New Year in Orlando as the Tigers will face Penn State in the Capital One Bowl, officials from the bowl game announced on Sunday.

The Capital One Bowl will be held on Friday, Jan. 1 at Florida Citrus Stadium in Orlando. The game will kickoff at noon CST and will be televised nationally by ABC.

"We are excited about being invited to participate in the Capital One Bowl," LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva said. "The Capital One Bowl is one of the great bowl games in college football and we are thrilled with the opportunity to represent the SEC against a top team from the Big 10.
