The fate of Louisiana's only NASCAR sanctioned race track remains up in the air roughly two weeks after the facility's biggest creditor filed suit in 4th Judicial District Court to have Monroe Motor Speedway seized and sold at auction.

Speedway general manager Stu Bashner said he was "working every possible angle" to stave off the sale of the race track.

"We're working every single avenue possible," said Bashner. "Then we'll let the board of directors make a decision as to what the best avenue is."
