Tis the season to give: Christmas project needs sponsors
posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
Each year, hundreds of local children have a happier Christmas thanks to volunteers and donations for the Center for Children and Families' annual Christmas project.

The Center for Children and Families this week kicked off several activities to gather toys for area children.

The center's annual Christmas project seeks sponsors for more than 700 children in northeast Louisiana who hope Santa Claus pays them a visit. These children have been displaced from their home due to abuse and neglect. Most of these children are in foster care through the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children program.

For the full report, see Page 1A of this week's Citizen.
