Red Cross seeks financial assistance When there's someone in need following a disaster in northeast Louisiana, the local chapter of the American Red Cross will be there.
Now, the American Red Cross of Northeast Louisiana needs a helping hand to continue to provide its services in the 11-parish region.
LaVonne LeBlanc, director of administration for the northeast Louisiana chapter, said donations have been down over the past year, mainly due to the downturn in the economy. To sustain services the chapter provides on a daily basis, Red Cross needs financial assistance from willing donors.
