Children's choir to perform at Governor's Mansion
by Scott Rogers - posted E-mail Story E-mail Story | Print Story Print Story
New Chapel Hill Baptist Church's children's choir will be the featured performers Friday during the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge.

The choir, which is comprised of 35 children, was recently picked to be featured performers from at least 500 other children's choirs throughout the state. New Chapel Hill's children's choir will be the only choir singing at the ceremony.

Julie Cappo, director of New Chapel Hill's children's ministry, said the church's children are excited to be the one choir picked to sing Christmas songs and provide musical entertainment at the event.
