Ouachita Lions fall to Central The Ouachita Lions were ousted from the Class 5A playoffs after a shocking 29-28 finish at Central of Baton Rouge on Friday night.
The Lions were leading 28-22 with seconds to go when Central quarterback Will Briscoe heaved a prayer to the end zone that was tipped high by Ouachita defenders, but caught by a sprawled out wide-receiver, Daniel Hebert.
The 44-yard scoring pass negated a tremendous effort by the Ouachita team that faced a huge challenge against the undefeated Central Lions. Central came into the game as the No.4 seed in the 5A playoff bracket.
