Jindal to present medals Monday Gov. Bobby Jindal will present medals at the Monroe Civic Center Monday, Nov. 30, during a special ceremony.
The event will be held 3:15 p.m. inside the Civic Center's banquet room.
Jindal will be joined by Adjutant Gen. Landraneau of the Louisiana National Guard and Lane Carson and Tommy Sims of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs.
Veterans are asked to register for the event. If a local veteran has not registered by Nov. 30, they can arrive at 2 p.m. prior to the event and register. They will need their DD214 or proof of service to receive their medals.
If a veteran has registered, but they haven't received a card from the Veterans Affairs Office, they should also bring their registration with proof of service, said Tommy Sims. |
