Rev. William Harold Carey
Father William H. Carey, retired priest of the Diocese of Shreveport, died at his home on Nov. 22, 2009.
Rosary services were held at St. Matthew Church in Monroe, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, with a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the church.. Officiating will be the Most Rev. Michael G. Duca, Bishop of Shreveport. Interment was in St. Matthew Cemetery in Monroe. Honorary pallbearers were the priests of the Diocese of Shreveport.
Memorials may be made to the Priests Retirement Fund of the Diocese of Shreveport or the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Monroe, c/o the Diocese of Shreveport, 3500 Fairfield Avenue, Shreveport, LA 71104.

Funeral Services for Josie Ann Rodden Courteau, 62, of Monroe, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe with Father Mark Watson officiating. Interment was at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Courteau passed away Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a courageous battle with several serious illnesses.

Mrs. Newsom passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.
