Lions head to Baton Rouge for second round

The Ouachita Lions (8-3) will be heading to the capital city this Friday night as they play Central of Baton Rouge in the second round of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Class 5A playoffs.

Ouachita is coming off a 27-13 home victory over West Jefferson High School. Ouachita overcame a 76-yard touchdown pass early in the game to stiffen on defense and take control in the second half.

Jameel Chatman got Ouachita on the scoreboard with a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Garrett Brown gave Ouachita the lead on the next Lion possession on a one-yard touchdown run.
Ouachita was penalized 13 times for 119 yards against West Jefferson.
